Pissed About Prisons! Event March 26-27 *CANCELLED*

*This event is being cancelled due to the brutal arrests of several friends on campus. Some of these discussions/workshops may still happen elsewhere the same weekend, so keep your eyes and ears open.*

Pissed About Prisons is going to be two days of discussions, workshops, art and film about struggle against prison.
It’s open to everyone!

Friday March 26

6:30 pm: film “Prison World” about struggle against prison in Greece, followed by discussion about prison, repression, and radical social movements. We want to begin by exploring together why we are inspired to struggle against prison, and share ideas about how to do that.

Saturday March 27 10:30 am – 7 pm

Workshops include screen printing anti-prison slogans; racism and conditions in ontario prisons; letter-writing to prisoners, and more!

final schedule TBA

All events will take place at the University of Guelph, University Center,  2nd floor, Central Student’s Association Boardroom.

FREE LUNCH!

Pay-What-You-Can event. We want everyone to be able to come. It is a fundraiser, so any money raised will go towards legal fees for folks who have been arrested or incarcerated in struggle.

Come out and get those wheels turning – have critical discussions, learn about the Prison Industrial Complex in Canada, and meet other folks who want to fight against it. SEE YOU THERE!
